Confronting Gender-Based Violence
Group Show
InVisible part 1, a powerful group exhibition bringing together inspiring global artists and designers from across the RCA to address the world issue of gender-based violence curated by Sam Joseph.
InVisible Part 1, showcased a diverse range of perspectives through multiple media. Each work illuminated experiences that are too often unseen, unheard, or overlooked, exposing the realities of gender-based violence, discrimination, and structural inequality.
By creating a platform for practitioners whose work critically engages with social injustice, InVisible created a space for reflection, dialogue, and collective awareness. The exhibition invited audiences not only to witness these narratives, but to consider their own role in challenging systems of harm and supporting meaningful change.
Timed to coincide with International White Ribbon Day on November 25 and the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,InVisible aligned creative practice with global advocacy and reaffirmed the transformative power of collective action. London 2024
